I see many clients ranging from adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. I have an eclectic approach with various treatment modalities in order to tailor therapy specifically to your respective needs and goals. During Therapy we will work towards understanding your behaviors and seek to find solutions to maladaptive behaviors in order to create change and produce satisfying relationships.
Sessions generally run 45-50 minutes unless otherwise specified. The initial session is considered a consultation, which is generally free of charge. During the initial session we will get to know one another, to see if we both agree that our time together will generate the relief and results you are seeking. If we decide that our time together will not be in your best interest, I will encourage you to seek other professionals in the field and will provide you with referral’s to individuals who may be a better fit for your needs.
Therapy is often a slow process in the beginning, during the first several sessions we will work to establish rapport, and trust in order to get comfortable with the therapeutic process. The following 8-10 sessions will seek to understand what we are dealing with and how these circumstances have affected your life and your relationships. While unveiling your life circumstances, your crises may seem to be overwhelming, know that you are not alone; be confident in knowing what changes need to be developed in order to create the hope and relief you are longing for.
